This class will feature healthy brunch recipes inspired from celebrity chef Bobby Flay. We'll be making scrambled eggs with turkey sausage, roasted chick peas and avocado, along with a kale salad with ham and cheese croutons.

Janice will also also lead an interactive presentation where parents can ask questions about promoting independence in the kitchen for individuals with IDD, Intellectual, Developmental Disabilities.
Class 4 - Saturday October 9 - 10:30 am
For this class will be using rotisserie chicken to make a Lemon, Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl, Tex Mex Empanadas with chicken, pinto beans and cheese, and a healthy Chicken Caesar salad sandwich. These recipes are inspired from one of Stacy's favorite Food Network shows, The Kitchen.

For the online class we'll make Halloween inspired brunch treats. For the in person class we'll make a sweet treat. Everybody who comes in person will be encouraged to bring either a salad or an entree, and then we can enjoy the sweet treat for dessert. We'll just have to see what life is like in October, to see confirm the likelihood of meeting in person.
For each class I will send out a pictorial recipe, a list of cooking tools and ingredients no later than the Monday before the class. I am looking forward to sharing these recipes with the DSANV community. The cost of the class is $45, which covers a copy of Janice Goldschmidt's book for new participants. If you already have the cookbook, please email stacy.engels@dsanv.org for a discount code to use when you register.
